Based on the values of MIFA’s founders and the issues addressed by its programs, Our City, Our Story is an event designed to inspire, foster unity, and forge community conversation. The funds raised through sponsorships and ticket sales will support MIFA’s critical programs.
Our 2021 event attracted more than 300 attendees to the virtual presentation with Kiese Laymon (Heavy) and Elizabeth Gilbert (City of Girls and Eat, Pray, Love). Kiese and Elizabeth discussed their books and looked at how we could heal, come together, and move forward during and after the pandemic.
We are thrilled that Our City, Our Story 2022 will feature a conversation with Stephanie Land, the New York Times bestselling author of Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive, which is now an acclaimed Netflix series.
There are many different options to pick from: Presenting Sponsor, Hope Sponsor, and Stability Sponsor.
